What Is Car ECU?

The engine control unit is a computerized computer which used in modern vehicles to control its electronic components. Interpreting data from sensors and sending output to the different components, the auto's computer manage the proper operation of the motor vehicle.
The engine control unit obtain data from various digital units in the vehicle as the crankshaft and injection fuel system sensors to cleverly process information like intake, cooling system, exhaust and several other components to evaluate and control the driving circumstance of the transmission, engine system as the body functions, the AC, the airbags and more.
A typical example is the speed detector found on the wheel which detects the car speed and transmits the information to the car ECM. This way, rather than distributing signals to multiple wires from one detector, the signals would be delivered by the vehicle computer module to all the wired units that makes use of this information as the ABS, speedometer, suspension system and more.

Latest car accommodate a number of ECUs and because of this growing complexity, the coding required in configuring or resetting the automobile main computer is becoming more difficult to control.
